[Holosseum] Fight of a Thousand Punis
[Oh, look. Looks like there's a match at the Holosseum starting now. The camera focuses on a pair of announcer aliens, both identical and humanoid, but one red, and one blue.]
It's another beautiful orbital rotation here at the Holosseum. Looks like the crowd's already getting warmed up for this match. We've got two guests from the S.S. Thor ready and raring to go!
That's right, Geasuoxxzv, the Thor has graciously given us some quality combatants for this season! Let's go down to the field and meet your two combatants!
[The image cuts to the arena floor, which has taken the form of... a gigantic classroom? Well, whatever. The two announcers continue talking as the camera pans over the audience and field.]
An interesting choice for a field today, Bob.
It is indeed, Geasuoxxzv. Our fighters for this match are in fact a teacher and one of her students! First up, a magician hailing all the way from the magical, late world of Gensokyo, former librarian of the Scarlet Devil Mansion: Patchouli... Knowledge!
[Patchouli steps out into the 'classroom'. In lieu of the book she normally carries, she has a staff, instead. A long, elegantly carved piece of wood topped with a gem. She needed a focus of some sort, after all. And she wasn't about to show everyone that she smuggled one of her spellbooks in. There's no flourish from her, no waving, just walking out to the field and waiting.]

Indeed it is! Speaking which, our combatant has opted for a teammate for this battle, who happens to be one of her students. All the way from Earth, this gal is a specialist in the human art of 'kung fu'. But that's not all she can do, folks! There are many other tricks up her sleeve! Please welcome the young fighter and aspiring police officer, Chie... Satonaka!
[Chie practically stomps out onto the field, expression of deep annoyance and rage clearly etched into every part of her face. She'd managed to score a pair of somewhat decent, dented metal greaves from the weapons rack-- subpar to her standards by now, but better than the loafers she'd had upon arrival.]
Well, now that we have your combatants, who will they be fighting against?
I'm glad you asked! These two will will be taking one of our trademark challenges! Two gladiators... versus a thousand. That's right, folks! A thousand! You know what that means... all together now...
[The audience yells in unison:]
The Thousand! Puni! CHALLENGE!
[At the yell, something drops down on to the field. It's a Puni. Then another. And another. And even more. They're falling all over the place now, Punis of different colors and sizes, some wearing viking hats, some wearing top hats, others with other hats. A thousand in all, covering the field.]
Will they survive? These Punis aren't pushovers. Let the battle... BEGIN!
