...

Lovers don't always get a happy ending, do they?

[ ooc: yeah she saw Moulin Rouge! at Xion's party, and if you are not aware it has a distinct lack of a happily ever after. ]

No. But largely, I think, many lovers don't get a happy ending-- because they choose not to. Some endings are inevitable, perhaps-- but not all failing relationships are doomed.

... True. I suppose statistically it makes sense too.

[ IT'S STILL DEPRESSING ]

[I KNOW IT IS.]

Therefore, I think the best thing to do is treasure what you have while you have it. You never know when something can go wrong. [Like your planet burning up from heart burn.] And breaking up with one lover isn't always a bad thing. It could even lead you to a better happiness with someone else.

[ There is a slight delay before she responds since she's kind of stuck on the whole ONE TRUE LOVE mentality. ]

Someone else?

You sound far too young to be worrying over this.

I'm not really concerned with finding love for myself...

... You thought that they always did?

[it's more interesting than anything -- what would make her think that lovers always have a happy ending?]

I've never seen otherwise.

... That sounds nice.

[but to him, it sounds like a dream]

Happy families, too?

No, not always.

I guess it was naive to think otherwise.

You just didn't know, that's all. There's always something someone doesn't know.

They sure don't... But! You have to be happy for the ones that do, right?

... Yeah. It makes the ones that do more meaningful then.

I think so, too. It's a lot more touching when you see a happy couple. Especially when they've been together for a long time.
