I got my copy of The Ammonite Violin last night. It is gorgeous, just a lovely, lovely book, and the chapbook is very nicely done too. I immediately read The Sanderlings and the introduction, which seemed a fitting one without any obvious spoilers. Past that I only got as far as reading the first story; Madonna Littoralis, which was excellently surreal and hypnotic. I should say that The Sanderlings is also quite something; minimalist, bleak and a little disturbing. I love it. I cannot wait to read the rest so I will probably be running off to do that in a minute as I only have this morning to read.
I'm going "funyaking" down a river with my family and my sister and her family after lunch and if I am not utterly spent after that I have Tae Kwan Do tonight. Of course, if I am all tuckered out, that would leave me this evening to read some more....
