2 things.
Code
I just coded in MMX again. (Been a while.) Surprised to see that I still can think in low-level programming languages at 2 AM. The code seems to work 200-250% faster than it's C++ counterpart, but BoyC found some bugs so i have to straighten those out first. All in all, I'm kinda content that I still manage to code decent shit every now and then.
Bar Kokhba
OK, this is a call for commenting. I'd like to know if this phenomenon exists outside of Hungary.
There was once a historic person called Simon Bar Kokhba, the last monarch of Judea. During his reign (according to a legend), he was once presented a dying man, who had his tongue ripped out and hands cut off. He was unable to talk or write, so couldnt identify his attackers. Bar Kokhba had to ask simple "boolean" questions so the man was able to nod or shake his head, and before he died, they found out who his killers were.
The question: We have a game in Hungary we call the Bar-kochba (after the aforementioned story), which is basically Player A thinking of a word or object or etc., and Player B trying to find it out by asking questions, to which Player A can only answer with "yes" and "no". (Optionally some other things, like "Also.")
So a generic game if the word is "hammer" would look like:
"Person?" "No."
"Object?" "Yes."
"Building?" "No."
"Furniture?" "No."
"Tool?" "Yes."
And so on.
Does this kindof mindgame exist in other countries as well, and what's it called? I googled some for Bar Kokhba related sites, but they were either Hungarian, or unrelated to the game.
