Specifically, I want to go to the Estrella War in 2010, but it seems to not be in the works. On the way home from L&P's place we (J, BB, and I) were talking about it. They both plan to go. I wish I could. Alas, but there will be other years.

Looks like I'm going to Coronet.  Ugh.  Moose Jaw, in November.  Bah.

It's not looking like I'll be going to a lot of events this year or the beginning of next.  My plans for Estrella have been set aside as I might be on a cruise with a wedding party, which I think wins.  Dragonslayer I'll be at, since I am running the Hidden Treasures shoot.  Quad War I plan to attend.  Bitter End's Harvest Feast for sure, probably ( Read more... )

I received notification today that my SCA Name and Device have been passed on from the Lion's Blood Herald to the Laurel, whatever that means.  No conflicts, apparently!  Whee!

I am now authorised to go to War as a Combat Archer!  Huge thanks to Ellias and Al for this!  Tomorrow we fight!

In my quest to 'get armoured' so I can do combat archery, I have stumbled upon the problem of too much armour and not enough space in my wee apartment to store it.  It's not just the armour... it's the raw materials and tools, which piled up with my archery tools, various sets of arrows, bows, stains and paints, etc etc ad nauseum ( Read more... )

I am thinking of putting together a Combat Archery/Heavy Fighter kit, basically all the stuff I'll need to maintain the armour and do repairs and such.  Any suggestions?  Essentials?  Optional parts?

And so it has come to this.  After months of pondering and finally debating the merits of it with conejita_diabla , I have decided to start an SCA Household.  stephtopia  reminds me that an Autonomous Collective would be a better name and description for what I want.
