Hi ya oldnick1971 I had a great time at new year and it was really nice to meet you. As for music I am looking for recomendations, It started out as what 10 albums would you recomend or could you not live with out.

On list of stuff to try next are the following all I need now is recomemdations on what album/s to get first.

Bauhaus
Joy Division
Cure
Mission

The Mission's most accessible/commercial album is Carved In Sand. It also sold the most, so could be considered the best on that criterion. Great album but slightly uninventive compared to Grains Of Sand or Masque. Probably the best to start with, though.

No NO NOOOO!
Don't listen to her ;o) - 'Hands Accross the Ocean'(Grains of Sand) is NOT the best of the Mission (shudder)!

You need the albums 'Children' or 'Gods own Medicine' to get you off to a good start with the Mish.

You were forced to listen to my opions on all the rest at great lenght this weekend, so I'll wait to re-inforce the brainwashing at an appropriate time.

Okay - Hands Across The Ocean is crap, but there's a lot of good stuff on that album!

Don't you find God's Own Medicine a little...erm...dull?

I'll grant you it's not as tippity-top as 'Children', but compared to 'Masque'? There is no competition.

At least between us all Mr Davis will get an intresting, if somewhat bizarre circle of new music.

Daniel Ash (of Bauhaus) is still releasing lots of stuff. "Come Alive" (featured on the new "Vampire:Bloodlines" PC game) absolutely rocks.

Thanks to my family sending money this xmas I able to visit the music shop again so soon after my bday. I have been told by them to not spend it on bills but on nice stuff and going out. I am following there orders I will be back in Ilforld next weekend for Planet Angel with friends.

And today I got:

Joy Division - Substance
Kate Bush - The Dreaming
Kate Bush - The Kick Inside

and at 3 for £20 its cheaper than ebay seconds

and I ordered:

The Cure - Pornography
The Cure - Disintegration
Mission - Gods on Medicine

and I still have some cash left to order some

Fields Of The Nephlim and Bauhaus next week as well so keep up the recomendations on which ones I should order.
