RPS terms in Japanese

I already felt cheated that little Japanese schoolgirls can just plunk down their allowance for manga featuring cute gay boys and nobody bats an eye (I'm of the generation that remembers shelling out the big bucks for slash zines passed under the table, with one anxious eye over my shoulder).

I've been gradually adding to my doujinshi collection (manga-style fanfic -- very often slash) of LOTR and a few other media.

I'd learned recently that there's a lovely term in Japanese for LOTR RPS fanfic about Viggo and Orlando (usually abbreviated as "Viggorli," of course). In Japan that fan-art and fanfic is called "Mo-hana." "Mo" is short for "Mortensen" and "hana" is the Japanese word for "bloom."

Today, I learned there's a Japanese term for Supernatural RPS stories about Jared (Padalecki) and Jensen (Ackles). In the States it's called J2. In Japan, it's called Ja-Je.

Nothing major uncovered here, I know. I'm just tickled at this further proof that Slash is, like, Everywhere, Dude -- and Everybody Sees It.
