been awhile...
So...as of tomorrow I'm done with undergrad. Yaaaay.
I'm freaking out about this way less than I had been now that I know I've also gotten into Campbell, so I no longer have to dread the nightmare scenario of getting turned down everywhere and being unable to find a job and having to go back to Charlotte. I was really surprised that they got back to me so fast. Still no word from Central, Brooklyn, or American, or (obviously) on the few applications that have yet to go out (UNC and GW among them, plus TFA which is due on the 7th).
I'm really looking forward to my semester off. I'm working 5 days a week at afterschool and opening a few mornings a week at the pool. Other than that I've got a stack of books I've been meaning to read for months, and I'm looking to do a lot more sewing and knitting.
This is going to be a nice relaxing couple of months. I can relax now in the knowledge that I'm not going to end up stuck with no acceptance letters/no job and just hang out for a while and take a break. I know I'll start freaking out again when the time comes to figure out where I'll actually go and all the financial crap, but for now, life is good and I'm at least making some progress on getting the rest of my life together.
