What to grow after tulip season

Hey gang!  I checked earlier entries and couldn't really find anything, so here is my question!

I have just bought a bunch of lovely tulip bulbs and am getting ready to plant them for fall so they come up this spring.  I really don't have a green thumb and the only thing I have any expertise in growing is rhubarb;  I'm trying to put some lovely tulips in my front lawn but I also need something for the rest of spring and summer.

I bought a few early tulips as well as some late tulips and some crocuses for September-October for one particular flower bed.  I've checked how I'm going to space them so no one bulb is crowded by something that will be coming up after it.  However, I still have May-August  where I need something there!

Does anyone have a good idea for something that blooms May-August and won't take over a flowerbed?  Or even some sort of greenery that would place nicely with the tulips would be wonderful.

Thanks so much in advance!
