My Googling ability is failing me. The corn from our (first year, obviously experimental) garden is tough, chewy, and well, gross. Is this a matter of the variety being bad? Just a bad crop? Picked too early or too late? The ears were sort of skinny, but the kernels were big. The silks had dried and turned brown. If pricked, the kernels didn't leak any juice, which I know isn't good.
