Grow Your Own....
I was in Lowe's today (bad idea) killing an hour until my friend got off of work (worse idea) and stumbled across a cart of garden stuff. They had these packs for $10 and $20 that looked really awesome but I wasn't sure if they were any good.
Both were in a shiny white box with big images of the contents printed across the top/sides. The $10 box had something like 120 plants (red seed potatoes, white onion sets, asparagus roots, and strawberries) and the $20 box had red and white seed potatoes, red and white onion sets, asparagus and strawberries. They also had grapes in the same sort of packaging.
Has anyone else seen/used these things? Is it worth it to buy them? I kind of want to buy them and while it seems like a really good deal for the price its also a bit more than I want to spend without looking into how hard these items are to grow. Any info on growing any of the items in the boxes would be great too! (I live in Zone 7, Northern VA) Instead I contented myself with seed packs of lettuce, lemon cucumbers, hot peppers and another type of peas.
