The garden is snowed in

So we certainly got snowed in. Northerners may mock, but in the south snow is A Thing. We had a walk around the house to see how we fared and I took a load of photos, including a couple of the poor pitiful half buried garlic and broccoli that never flourished. The liriope blades and berries sticking out of the snow was a charming sight though, especially for a plant I do not even like.

I suppose in a perfect world I’d be starting my miscellaneous alliums this week, but I haven’t even prepped the starting trays. On the plus side the seeds started earlier in the week (lavenders, violas & a couple perennial herbs) seem quite cheerful and the lavender ‘Spanish Eyes’ is already throwing down little roots.

Anyone else get caught in unexpected snow?
