Slight white fuzzy mold on new herbs

Jan 01, 2010 23:48

So a friend got my some herb seeds for Christmas, and I planted them last weekend. I covered it with plastic wrap (several websites mentioned this, to keep in heat and moisture to allow the seeds to sprout). Today, less than a week later, I realized a bunch of the seeds sprouted already! I wasn't expecting this. Unfortunately it looks like the heat and moisture allowed for some slight mold growth - white, soft, fuzzy looking mold on a few on the sprouts. They were so short that there was no way to scrape it off really, so I pushed them back under the soil, and took the plastic wrap off.

Will my herbs probably be ok? I will let the plant dry a bit before watering again and all that. A quick google shows that it will probably be alright but I was hoping maybe you guys knew any good antifungal home recipes or anything, or could just reassure that it will be ok. Thanks!
