So, they transferred Granny from ICU to a Hospice unit this evening (here in the States, Hospice is generally end-of-life care). An hour later she passed peacefully. I find I'm not as weepy as I thought, although I was my Da's driver so he could go see her one last time and sign her over to the funeral home. I mean, she always knew what it was in the abstract, one of her friend's dad's died last year, so he's 'with the angels.' She also knows you don't see people after they've died. This is the first time she's seen it close to her.
