Bushy did well early but when the weather turned hot it wilted.
Early Fortune was good. And both Marketmore and Straight Eight even better - their cucumbers were larger and smoother and easier to peel.
I'm not sure that the Burpless and Spacemaster varieties really got a fair trial since they were planted late, but neither of them did very well.
Anna's cucumbers were planted much later than mine. Most of her vines died, but the few that were left were bearing after mine were done. Because they were planted in the ground? Or maybe because they had some shade? I don't know.
I do want to try another variety that William told me about. I wrote down the name. I hope I haven't lost that piece of paper.
