Summer goals in progress

I finally got my MA state income tax refund! Combined with my big fat check from PG's (I work 5 or 6 days a week) and I'm rolling in the dough.
(Insert corny "pizza dough" joke here)

Summer goal #1: make enough money to go on a roadtrip to St. Louis: in progress.

I had Sunday and Monday off and I work every day for the rest of the week. On Sunday I went to the church's annual meeting and participated as a voting member. Except I abstained from the important vote because I didn't feel right voting on the church's financial future because I don't donate any money.
On Sunday night I saw Revenge of the Sith, completing the Star Wars Sextology. I thought the movie was too long (besides the fact that first they started playing a Jennifer Lopez movie by accident, and then Star Wars shut down in the middle of the movie, keeping us at the theatre for 5 hours instead of 3). There were some parts I didn't like but all in all I thought it the best of the newer three episodes.

Yesterday was a relaxing day at Scraggy Neck with my boy. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach, more than usual, leading me to believe that the person who tends the beach in the summer doesn't start until July. There were also a surprising number of mylar balloons washed up. Some had musical notes, one said "Every Kid is #1 at McDonald's," and one said "Feliz Bautizo." Other than that, not much to report.

Things left to do this summer:
Go to the beach again
Join a gym or get on a regular running schedule
Get my visa
Clean my room
Pack for Mexico
Buy plane tickets
start volunteering somewhere
roadtrip to St. Louis to see Tihana

It has been beastly "hazy hot and humid" the past week. Finally we are getting some rain from the remnants of a tropical storm. I have to go close all the windows now, and shut off the computer, because I hear thunder.
