It's cool thing, if you don't care about old browsers. IE is supported from version 9 only (due to the heavy use of ECMAScript native properties).
And RequireJS (or other AMD-compatible loader) is required so far. If you don't use it, I highly recommend start doing it today. Because JavaScript is a mess.
