If Digimon met K-On
Firstly, DO NOT GO ON ONEMANGA!! The site has been hacked again and just a few minutes ago some fake anti-virus scan came up that will obviously screw your computer 20 times over. Also I've been thinking, what if the girls of K-On had digimon. And given the formula for the show iis recycled throughout several seasons here's what I think it'll look like.
1. Ritsu Tainaka: Well obviously she's the leader and rule of thumb from this shows us that the leader always has a dinosaur that breaths fire (dinosaurs are dragons yeah) to pal up with him. Not to mention most of the leaders have essentially been Ritsus; loud-mouth, assertive idiots. Taichi, Marcus, Takato. Did I mention that the colour of the digimon is usually red/orange and what is Ricchan's hair colour; orange. And her album;yellow. As such, I'd imagine Ritsu to get paired up with...
Elecmon, okay not exactly a dinosaur so it's kinda cheating but it's digivolution line in other media would be...

2. Mio Akiyama: Can't have the boke without the tsukkomi. Every leader in every single series has needed it's lancer or 2nd in command guy like Kouji and Ken. And Mio is pretty much the star of the show as it is. Not to mention in these Shounen shows, the 2nd guy is always the smart guy to balance out the leader's idiocy. Just look at ToMato and compare it to Mitsu, (no shipping hints intended). Oh yeah, and it seems quite a few 2nd in command have been associated with blue (Yamato, Kouji, Touma and Sasgay). Which makes Mio perfect as Ricchan's backup as her soundtrack is also blue. Oh yeah, and there's sometimes an emphasis on how 'cool' the character is like Yamato or Kouji. So I guess that makes Mio the perfect candidate with...

3. Tsumugi Kotobuki: Hmm, this is a hard one. I am not so sure where she would fit in too much but it's been mention she'sknowledgeable and I doubt they ever had a 'pervert' in any of the series. Though she is kind. I guess I'll group her as a Mimi Tachikawa even though their personalities are way different and the only real similarity is they have a specialty with food and both are quite kind. (Mimi becomes a Martha Stewart and Mugi is the one who brings cakes) And maybe because Mugi's single is coloured pink and the fact that they are both listed as ojou in tvtropes. Though at the same time, she is quite reliable so I suppose that makes her the Joe Kido type. Not to mention they are to some extent the Big Guy. More literal in Mugi's case since she's the one who manages to easily carry around all of the bands' gear. Either she's on steroids or she benches a lot cause Mugi's strength sorta makes me feel obsolete as a man. As such, she'll be the Marine girl and paired up with...

6. Ui Hirasawa: Hmm, another token loli? Well she is Yui's sister and seeing as how Kari and T.K both had angelic digimon I think the choice is obvious. The manual for creating a digimon anime says always have little sisters/brothers have angelic digimon. Not to mention it would make a good match with Azusa with the angels and demons things going on and all. Just like Takari with a bit of yin and yang in there. (No shipping hints intended)

Not to mention there isn't anything in common between a miniature weasel that happens to be a knight in disguise and a cd throwing duck. As such, I suppose she may suit in the genki-ish, adventure girl type started by Sora and continuued by Yolei. And Sawa is after all motto waildo (is that how you spell it?) and surprisingly energetic with that freaking chase scene. And all energetic girls have birds. Well except for Kristy and Keenan who fit more into the token shouta/loli as well as Kari-ish sibling. Not to mention Keenan is more a wild child trope. Anyhow she'd be partnered with...

My only problem with the last choice is the unfortunate implications caused by the Adventure shipping War. So Ritsu is Taichi, Mio is Yamato and Sawako is...Sora. If you don't know, there was a massive argument over who Sora would pair up with...so yeah. Anyhow, thanks to Tvtropes for backing me up for this post and now we have 8. The same number as the digidestined of season 1. I think I've got everyone. But heck this has been so fun, I can't resist putting in another one for Jun who might as well be the 6th ranger even though we don't know anything about her.
And because I can't resist using the groups. Let's give her a Royal Knight lineup.
