Memorable Monday Quote/Whackjob Opinion of the Week

The aniversary of the Battle of Normandy is coming up in two days and as such decided to post this up.

You will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world. Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped, and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely....The free men of the world are marching together to victory. I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty, and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory. Good luck, and let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking." ~General Dwight D. Eisenhower (October 14, 1890-March 28,1969) giving the D-Day order on June 6, 1944.

Just for thought-provoking...

In peace the sons bury their fathers, but in war the fathers bury their sons.

On a lighter note, in light of recent events with Sophia Loren and Andrew Hansen. It's time for another Whackjob Opinion of the Week, brought to you by the organisers of the Italian Festival. Cause let's face it the level of sucking up sometimes is hilarious. Looks like the Italians may have gotten themselves a 3rd reputation...

Whackjob Opinions here...WARNING: Serious ass-kissing ahead.

"He had no respect for the fact that her first language is Italian nor did

he have any respect for who she is. All he tried to do was boost his own

image and he was not very good at it".
Sophia fanboy

"Hansen is nothing more than a low life trying to be funny at the expense

of a great actress. She achieves in a day what he will never achieve in a

lifetime".

Some suck-up
