In 7 days, the Olympics begin on 8/8/8.

It looks to be that Beijing has done quite a bit to solve power and electricity problems but pollution remains an issue as shown by the BBQ ban particularly now that that the spotlight is on China. It is understandable that there are tensions as a result not to mention that has been a recent security scare. At the Olympics Green where the opening will be held there had be concerns over weather but it looks to be a spectacle indeed with the help of Zhang Yimou and the ballet there. As a result, China does believe it is ready and so does Rogge. With the Athletes, Cadel Evans is in but Sharapova is out. Myanmar or Burma as well as South Korea are also gearing up for the challenge. The torch has also passed through earthquake-ravaged Sichuan province and replicas of it have gone on sale. Furthermore, the Pope has thrown his support behind the Olympics but sadly there had been a massive scam. But here are some songs to cheer us up
