There was some discussion at work today about holidays and where people were going. I've not given it much thought at all this year; although I would rather like to go somewhere, I have no idea where! It's difficult, there's so many places I would like to visit but they're not possible at the moment. As it is, I will have to stay within the UK

Money and healh no object I'd pick Canada, visit the Canadian love interest in Quebec and sample the great cuisine and arts stuff there (as well as quality time with the person in question.. *g*) or New Zealand for all that fab scenery shown in Lord of the Rings. I always fancied a cruise round the Greek islands but if I'm thinking boats I'd love one of the Viking River Cruises in Germany, their boats are amazing and then all the stop-off points along the Rhine, mmm..

I've only been to Greece once, I went to Halkidiki and travelled round the peninsular on a moped which was great fun. So many great places in Canada to choose from, you'd need years to see them all!

Oh very cool, what a great way to see a place! :) Yes, and Canada is impossibly large also..

Anywhere and everywhere, honestly. I've been having a strong wanderlust for a while now, mostly because it's really expensive to even travel out of state and it makes me feel rather constricted and I want to experience life in other places, in my own country, the rest of the world, everywhere.
If I were to narrow it down to four places, it would be: Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, and Ireland.
But really, I want to travel the world someday, see all the places, all the countries and different cultures.

As I don't know where in the UK you've already been it's a bit hard to tell you where to go to ... BTW - Glasgow actually is pretty cool. I'd like to go again and visit all those cool art galleries we didn't have time for.

I've covered most of the North West area pretty much! And a lot of Sussex because I have family down there. I think there's a lot of places on the south coast that are supposed to be quite nice, like Cornwall and Devon but they're also very busy with tourists too. I'm considering going to Wales again, although I was thinking of maybe somewhere like Whitby.

And Cornwall is really, really nice, too. But yeah ... depending on the time of year too busy. I was in St. Ives in August once and you could hardly walk around because there were so many people.

But when I look at the pics that Wouter is sending us now from his travels through Asia, I must say, the countries there àre tempting. SO pretty!
