Popcorn at the ready

I saw the first film on my list for this year today, The Greatest Showman. It was entertaining enough, although a bit too saccharine and cringe-inducing in some places and some of the cast were not quite up to scratch. I rather liked whoever was playing the bearded lady, she was great, the rest of the cast were kind of eh. Whoever was playing ( Read more... )

There's no proper synopsis or information about the film at all, but I'm pretty sure I've got it right ;)

I'm really looking forward to seeing "Downsizing", it looks like so much fun! Most all of those movies look good, of course I'm definitely going to the theater to see the X-Men and Avengers movies! ;)

Fun fact: I've been inside the house that inspired the book "The House With A Clock In Its Walls". It's in Marshall, Michigan and has been on the annual tour several times. :D

I think it looks like fun too, I'm quite hopeful for that one.

I know absolutely nothing about that book, except that it's a great title! It sounds like it's a children's film though so I don't imagine I'll be seeing it in the cinema.

thanks for posting these! I am hoping to see Greatest Show, and of course I'm looking forward to all the Marvel.

I didn't know about the Mary Shelley or the Mary Queen of Scots films. I'm excited!

Is the Greatest Showman still on there? It's been out for almost a month here and films don't tend to get shown much longer than that. There's a lot of Marvel this year, 6 films in total!

I only knew about the Mary Queen of Scots film because of the David Tennant website, they've been sharing pictures from the filming. I know very little about the other one but it's an interesting story!

Yes, it's playing. Usually for shows that have been out a month, if they're big enough, they keep like one showing a day at an odd time for a little longer before it's totally out. THat's only at the huge megaplexes that have like 16 theaters to fill.

I suppose they can spare the screen time if they've got that many available!

No "Black Panther"?

I've not even heard of some of these ... hmmmm ...

No, that doesn't interest me, it's not a character I'm overly fond of. I'm not sure about Venom, that's probably more interesting, but I'm waiting to see trailers and things first.

That's good, I hope!

it seems so, yes.
We only seldom go to a movie. It's all so expensive

Don't the cinemas there have a particular day or time when it's cheaper to go? I wouldn't be able to see films if I didn't go on Mondays when it's only £4.
