Gimme a T!

After much waiting, I was finally been able to start on my new T regime this weekend just gone. There were several hold-ups so it's taken much longer than I'd hoped. When I saw Iffy, I was halfway through my last box of Testogel and I wanted to start on the Tostran as soon as I finished it. The letter from Iffy took longer to arrive and then the little village chemist didn't have the item in stock so it had to be ordered in specially. I wasn't surprised by that, they've never had any of the previous forms of T I've used, but it just made it take that bit longer. As it took so long, I ended up having to put in another prescription for Testogel as I was down to the last day or so. My prescription was for 2 boxes which would last a month, and wouldn't you know it, I got the Tostran the very day after I started the brand new box of Testogel. I could have switched then and there, I suppose, but it would have been a waste of money so I waited till I'd finished off the Testogel.

So this is the Tostran. It is such a small pump, way smaller than I expected. It only holds 60g and I have to use 3g a day which means that it won't even last 3 weeks. I'd have to get a new prescription for it every other week which would be a serious pain in the arse. Luckily, I managed to ask if they could put me two pumps on one prescription instead and they've agreed so that's a bit better.

The instructions for use are kind of laughable though. It says to rub the gel onto the stomach, covering an area of at least 10x30cm, or onto the inner thighs covering an area of 10x15cm on each leg. I don't know about you but I don't tend to keep a ruler in the bathroom. It advised alternating between the two sites and, I think this is the best bit, to 'Rub the gel in gently with one finger until dry'. One finger?! Have you tried rubbing in 3g of gel with one finger? Also, my stomach and thighs are so hairy (seriously, I swear I am turning into Wolverine, just without the adamantium), it's really difficult to rub anything in there, one finger or otherwise!

*sigh* I just hope it works. I was trying to do maths and work out what my T levels might be on this compared to the Testogel but it broke my brain and I gave up. I'll find out in 8 weeks when I have to have bloods done anyway.
