I was just having a look through next week's TV guide - the last page is for stuff that's on the following week. The very first item on that page was Doctor Who. I wasn't entirely sure I believed it so I had a look at the Radio Times site for verification. Sure enough, Saturday 1st September at 7.20pm is the start of series seven! Put it in your diaries, mark your calendars, and start that countdown.

Funny aside, this was my mother's response when I told her.
Me: I have news! But you won't like it.
Her: Oh, who's died now?
Me: No one, it's good news for me, just not for you.
Her: O-kay...
Me: I'll be claiming the TV next Saturday night.
Her: *puzzled* All right.
Me: And the Saturday after that, and the Saturday after that...
Her: Oh no. Oh no!
Me: ... and the Saturday after that...
Her: OH NOOOO!!!
