Considering this has been the first week of my summer holiday, it's been a rather busy one. I spent the weekend doing some freelance design work for a friend which was most unexpected but hopefully will look very good on my CV. I spent most of Monday in the garden, trimming the hedge with shears (fun!) and putting in some new plants that we got ( Read more... )

My goodness, that is quite a busy first week off. It'll be a shame to have to get rid of some of the CDs and DVDs without making money off them, but it'll probably still feel good to not have them taking up space anymore.

Your work does sound like quite a lot to take on the bus; driving in sounds like a much better idea. I hope you have an easy time parking! And hopefully next week will be a much more relaxing one for you. :)

It's mainly the CDs and DVDs that aren't in good enough condition to be classed as 'Used - Like New' and those ones I wouldn't get that much money for anyway. The postage has gone up a huge amount recently - a 1st class stamp went up from 46p to 60p - and of course, Amazon's shipping credit has remained at £1.26 which doesn't cover it in the slightest.

Eep. That's so annoying that Amazon's shipping credit hasn't gone up with the actual price of shipping stuffs. Sod that then. It definitely sounds like a better idea to remove the stuff that you wouldn't get much for anyway rather than have to deal with the faff of selling and shipping for little to no profit. I hope the other stuff sells though!

This is the second time the cost of postage has gone up but the shipping credit from Amazon is still the same as it was two years ago. It's ridiculous. In order to get a profit, I have to sell CDs or DVDs for at least £3. I've managed to sell 3 things in the past fortnight which was a bit of a surprise as the last time I sold something was in March!
