Penultimate day

Jun 14, 2012 20:22

Well, this afternoon turned out to be a complete waste of time! It was L's class but I had no work to do for it as I'd handed in my completed sketchbook and final outcomes on Monday. I'd actually asked L then if I needed to go in today but didn't get any answer so I thought I better had. L was mostly busy with the second years who are busy ( Read more... )

ANother vote for the Steampunk one, you really have a flair for this, so glad you're getting to explore so many things with this course (and yay on having your work finished and submitted on time, unlike the rest of them)

I was surprised so many of them liked the Steampunk one! I think I prefer that one myself. And what a shocker that so many of them have not finished their work yet, bet you didn't see that coming.

I'm shocked and stunned they'd not finished, truly... heh

Feh to L not letting you know that you needn't bother to come in so you wound up wasting your afternoon. But at least you got some amusement in the form of people's faces when they heard you'd already turned in your work. ;)

Ooooo, your timelines both look excellent! I love how different they are and they both work so well. My guess is that L was trying to say that lots of people should see them because they're so good. I must say I agree with that! :) And v much yay for S being so impressed with them too. And even more yay for being very nearly done! *makes Funfetti cupcakes to celebrate*

It wouldn't have been so bad if I'd not forgotten my flash stick :-/ I wanted to do the amendments on the game cover which was to add one piece of text but I didn't have the Photoshop file. I managed to do it after a fashion because I had the jpg version that I'd had to email to N. I managed to get the text sorted so that I could just transfer it to the .psd today which was something.

L was saying something about the curators who put the exhibitions together, but I don't understand what she was getting at really.

Oh no! Lack of flash stick is no good. Sounds like you got it sorted anyway though so well done you! :)

It sounds like L wanted you to try to hype your stuff to the curators and see if they'd display it; shouldn't she be doing that, or having someone else do it? Is it typical for artists to go to galleries and show their own stuff and ask to be exhibited, especially if they're students? I would have thought that if there's a particularly talented and promising student, the teacher shows them off to people in the industry rather than telling the student to do it.

I don't think it was so the curators would display it, I got the idea that she wanted me to do some curating or something. It was very odd and random.

Thanks! :) I think it's quite effective and suitable for young people.
