I've made an appointment to have my hair cut at college tomorrow. It's done by the trainees so it's cheaper than usual (£3.40 compared to £7 at my usual barbers). I'm trying to decide on whether to have my hair cut into its usual faux-hawk (see icon) or something else. I was wondering if maybe the faux-hawk was a bit dated, I've not seen any of the lads at college with anything remotely similar. The majority of lads have the number 2 all-over buzz cut type thing while a large proportion have a more current long and floppy/shaggy cut.

One of the lads who was in my class had a style I really liked and which I'm considering as an alternative to my usual style. The only problem would be describing it. It was long on top coming forward like a long fringe and the back and sides were like a typical short shaped into the neck style. I keep trying to get the back of my hair cut like that but no one ever seems to know what I mean and it ends up being cut straight and blunt which I hate. But I don't know if I'm too old to have my hair like that and if I'll just end up looking stupid.

Gah! Why are haircuts so difficult? The main issue I have at the moment is trying to fit in a bit at college rather than looking stupid and out of place. I had enough of that in the past :-/
