I got home from college this afternoon to find that I had a letter from Charing Cross. It said that my forthcoming appointment had been rescheduled. This is my appointment on September 26th. Which is Monday. Serious short-notice or what? The letter was dated the 19th and although it had a first class stamp on it, it only arrived today. The wtfuckery is strong with this one.
I immediately rang Charing Cross to ask them in no uncertain terms W T F. I was told that Dr Seal has had to change some appointments because he's been called away. I was then told what he's been called away for. Are you ready for this? You won't be, because I wasn't.
He has to go to a conference. *amount of wtfuckery goes through the roof*
My new appointment date is October 24th which is in half-term week so that works out much better. However, I have train tickets booked for Monday - as I'm bound to have done seeing as it's only three bloody days away. So now I have to see if I can alter my tickets for a month's time. I don't know if I'll be able to, and if I can, I'm pretty sure there will be a charge for it.
ETA: I've just contacted Virgin about changing the train tickets. As I got Off-Peak Return tickets, they can't be changed, only be refunded so I have to do that and book new tickets. Also, as I have collected the tickets already, I have to post them off to Virgin. It can take up to 10 days for the refund to be processed and another 5 days after that for the refund to appear in my bank account (or I presume, on a credit card).
The annoyance now is that a) I've already paid the £75 credit card bill for the tickets, b) new tickets are going to be another £75, if not more at this late date, c) it's going to be at least a fortnight before I get the refund and d) I will probably have to pay the credit card bill for the new tickets before the refund comes through.
SERIOUSLY NOT IMPRESSED
