I got nothing done yesterday because I was sick. My mother has had a hacking cough for the better part of last week and late on Sunday, I realised that she'd gleefully passed it on to me. So I spent most of yesterday reading and playing Ghostbusters on my DS

I read the information about your book and I'm almost in tears. The cruelty and stupidity of people just kills me no matter how much I think I'm able to understand it :x

I've not read it at all but I know it's not a pleasant story. I think the most horrific bit is that it's not a unique story. I know of so many other Trans people who have been committed mostly because of being Trans. The Trans community is having to fight all the stuff that the gay and lesbian community initially suffered, it's just been moved on to us now :(

My goodness, you have been v productive indeed. Very much feh to the insurance being so expensive but I'm glad it's done anyway, and at least it's slightly cheaper than the original quote. And YAY for getting your HP tickets! And VIP seats too, oooooo. I'm similarly wary about 3D, plus it just doesn't appeal to me so I definitely will be seeing the film in 2D as well.

Also v much yay for Bookmooch and for quickly snagging a book you've wanted for a while. I still haven't read The Last Time I Wore a Dress but it's on my to-read list. I'll be interested to hear what you think of it. I hope it arrives quickly from that library in Maine. :)

Sounds like tomorrow will be another productive day. Yay for getting stuffs done! But poo to being sick. I'm glad you took yesterday to rest, poor coughing boy. It was most rude of your mother to give you her illness. Are you feeling any better or just soldiering on cos stuffs do not wait for coughs to go away?

Have you sorted out your tickets for HP yet or did you forget?

As you know, it's usually a week for stuff to arrive from the East Coast so hopefully I should get it by Tuesday coming.

Thankfully, my cough hasn't been as bad as mother's so I've been able to Get Stuff Done. It's just been annoying more than anything.

I didn't forget!!! I just bought my ticket actually. :) I decided to go alone the first time as is my preference with HP, and then maybe go again with peoples. And I found it at a more local cinema than the ones we found before so I'm v glad I waited. No idea why that one wasn't listed with the others before. Those ticket websites are v silly.

*keeps fingers crossed that the book arrives promptly on Tuesday*

Oh yay, that's good then. It's no fun having an annoying cough but that's better than a debilitating one that prevents you from Getting Stuff Done. *nodnod*

That sounds like a quite interesting book. It seems I can get a copy in France, either through Amazon or the FNAC, but maybe I should have a look at the WH Smith store first.
