Feeling graphic
I felt like being creative today for some reason, possibly because of the discussion I'd had about my Beatle picture the other day.
I briefly considered making some icons as I have a short list of ones I'd like to do. I was also intending on designing a meal planner for my mother; she's started planning meals this past fortnight but she's been writing it on scratty bits of paper. I thought it would be nicer and better to have one that was wipeclean. I have a roll of sticky-backed plastic so it would be easy enough to make one. So that's what I decided to do today.
I'd had a bit of a play with OpenOffice Drawing a few days ago to try out layouts so I had a vague idea already of what I wanted to do. I had to do a bit of Googling to find appropriate clipart but the rest of it was fairly straightforward. The hardest part was deciding on a font! All in all, it took me about 3 hours or so and this is what I made:
I don't think it's too bad. I've had to make this image smaller otherwise it would take ages to load and you'd all beat me with sticks or something, so some of the clarity has been lost. Mostly in the little bulletpoint cupcakes down the side. The bigger cupcake graphics amuse me, they remind me of the Funfetti cupcakes I made recently :)
I know it's nothing amazing, but I am ridiculously pleased and proud by it.
I've also uploaded a much better image of the Beatle picture I posted about the other day. Now that picture, I really am proud of, and with better reason 'cos I drew it freehand omg. Oh and the 31 day meme should be resumed tomorrow.
