Books, books and more books

Thanks to a certain hobbit, I have a voucher for 10% off purchases at The Book Depository - despite the fact that I was trying to be good for once and not buy any more books. I swear that's the reason, and it was nothing to do with the fact that she initially thought she only had enough for 10 peoples and I was number 11.

But then I thought that I could do with getting a book for my upcoming flight. Naturally none of the books I currently have are any good for that. Don't ask why - I have my reasons.* Deciding on a new book is obviously a major event which requires a lot of thought and the input of good friends. Or if you don't have those, random peoples on the interwebs.

I know there are several people on my friends list who are book addicts and others who are just in denial. This next question is kind of looking for book recommendations but also just being nosy interested in the reading habits of other people.

So, what book(s) are you currently reading? Is it any good? Why do you like/dislike it? And would you recommend it (to me)? **

* Or I will do when I've thought of them.
