My fountain pen has developed a leak. This is the cause of some concern, as well as some ink-stained fingers. With brown ink, no less. I suppose I should be thankful it's not green

I love my fountain pen. Good ones are hard to find - so many leak from the get go. I always refill from a bottle. More fun and economical that way. Plus, there are so many great inks out there. I don't know if they ship to the UK, but check out www.pendemonium.com for some great "window shopping".

My remaining fountain pen is the red and black Waterman that draco sent to me back in 2004. It takes only cartridges only because he no longer had the adapter to fill it. It's been years since I've had to fill a fountain pen because the four I owned prior to the Waterman also took cartridges. As I used the pens at the office, it was far easier to deal with the cartridges.
There are some lovely fountain pens I've been coveting and I want to be able to use the filling converter only because there are so many more ink color choices that way.
