What reasonable person would shell out over $8-10,000 over a video game system. Granted, I do like games a lot and I would have loved to have a PS3 if I thought I had a reasonable chance of getting one. But seriously, that much? How can that be justified?
Are we so desperate for enterainment as a society that we wil spend so much money that could be used to pay rent/mortage, a car, or even food? What's wrong with us? It's not like there won't be more later or that there are still plenty of games out ther for the PS2 that people haven't played. Are we really that spoiled? I will never let Emma get that spoiled. If Emma ever gets that materialistic, then I will take away the things that have made her so. Noone should be like this. The amount of money that is being spent on a game system that could be put to so much better use is just staggering.
Of course the people selling them for this much aren't much better. They're taking advantage of people for their own profit, plain and simple. The more I actually think about it, the more morally reprehensible it becomes. I would be ashamed if it were Emma who did this sort of thing. Utterly ashamed.
