I did manage to crop out my beer gut. If I were only using that bicycle that is behind me, I might manage to reduce it.

my cat has destroyed the few indoor plants i didn't kill off myself. lots of shade is a good thing down here, though, no?

Shade is very good for the begonia, but not so good for the cacti I think. That startled look came from puzzling over my camera's timer.

shade is good for the humans and our electric bills.
you don't look startled, but like you're about to smile about something but haven't quite gotten there. those timers make the candid shots pretty much impossible.

We did get rain today around 3 PM. I don't think that it was from tropical storm Alberto, because I called down south of here to an archaeological project and they had been dry all day.

I have moved back from the "Recent" to the long dead these days. If you are talking live or dead plants, I did have a botanist suite-mate up in Clemson called Gordon Tucker. He has some relationship with the Missouri Botanical Garden, I believe.
