Wasn't intentional. Was supposed to be finding a way to prevent GAMMA sickness for army - I am an astrophysicist. Worked with Betty because she's in cellular biology, how we met.

It was... a fluke. Something unexplained, unpredictable. Why I'm so important for replicating it. Only figured out later was meant to be finding way to make supersoldiers all along.

How can you have hope for me, Bruce? You haven't accepted your Dark Passenger, and maybe that will save you from him, but there's no hope left for me.

Not... that. I'm not sure I honestly believe that I'll really find this cure anymore. I can't stop trying because there's - nothing else. I just still can't accept that I'll be like this forever.

I just meant - don't you ever want things to be different? Anything, not even-- don't you ever just think about it?
