Week two at MCC

So two weeks are in the books at MCC and I feel pretty good about it. I have gone in strong and pushed myself to keep up with the program and it has really been paying off. It has been going so well My boss Ed has asked me to take over the CNC portion of the program which would mean I have steady employment all year. The only catch is that Im not familiar with the machines that they use. I of course expressed this to Ed and he offered to have someone come in and train me on the HAAS machines. I think this could be a really good position to be in, I took over the machine shop when everyone else bailed and restructured the program to have a solid curriculum in my first two weeks. In the fall I may be able to take over as head of the machine shop which is a good resume builder for me. The only thing that would stop me from doing that short of some big mistake on my part would be if the position at Conn college opens up. I am already teaching 4 workshops this summer and 4 more this fall which means that I am getting paid as an adjunct faculty already. So if they can arrange the funds I would love to become art tech there. Either of these jobs leave me alot of free time to spend with Max and to work on my art so I guess for the time being things are pretty sweet!
