Originally uploaded by GameThymeI took this shot with my new lens - it cost me $25 on eBay. Part of the reason it was so cheap is because it's an M42 Screw-Mount lens rather than a Pentax K-Mount lens.
They haven't made M42 lenses regularly since (reportedly) the 1970's. This lens was made by Bushnell, who are (of course) known for their binoculars.
I really like the results I've gotten with it so far. The "infinity" focus on it is a touch off, but I don't take many shots at a greater distance than five or six feet, and who's going to complain about a $25 lens with one small issue that may never come into play?
