Not really an update

Ohai dudes. Since dayzdark is presently sleeping due to an upset stomach, I have a spare moment to update LJ/DW and let you know that we made it to Paris without a hitch and that we have been having a fantastic time. The Leonard Cohen concert in Tours yesterday was particularly fantastic - even better than the first one we saw in Minneapolis last May, I'd say - and blessed to a degree that not even railway strikes or taxi shortages could keep everything from functioning with total perfection. We've both been putting some photos and status updates on Facebook, so if you don't have one or both of us friended over there, go ahead and add us to check it out. We also plan to get some sort of gallery up later on, though we haven't taken near as many photos as we did in Spain three years ago, probably because we are too busy having fun to think about it.

Tomorrow is our last full day here which we intend to spend visiting the Musee d'Orsay, checking out a few weird bars and other sites of interest, and buying some souvenirs and/or gifts to take back, dependent upon dayzdark feeling better, of course. The trip has been fantastic and really the perfect length in my opinion; I feel like we've had plenty of time to see all the things we wanted to see and do what we wanted to do, and that I can go back to my day-to-day life feeling enriched and refreshed. Thanks to all those who have helped hold down the fort in Minnesota while we have been away; I really appreciate how generous you have been with your time and effort.

I have not read my friends list or reading page since Saturday morning, and while I may catch up on DW due to its being shorter, there is a good chance I have missed anything important that has happened since then. If there are recent events I should know about or posts I should read, you would be well served to tell me about them in comments here.
