To finish up Buffy yesterday, we gamed from about 4 p.m. until just after midnight, with a brief break to order and eat pizza. 8 solid hours, and it damn near killed me; I was bone tired but still didn't manage to fall asleep until nearly 3 a.m. (my mind was exhausted from GMing and driving, but my body was very much awake, unfortunately). I've been dead on my feet all day and trying to remember how I ever used to GM the marathon sessions I used to run in college. I've gotten so used to the 3-4 hour sessions that we can squish into an evening now that my body has forgotten how to pace itself for that long. In college we used to start as close to 5 p.m. as we could manage and usually finish up no later than 1 a.m. - and then in the really good games
peloria, Iain, and myself would usually not have had enough and would continue talking IC until 3 or 4 in the morning, and then still want to bluebook stuff the next day. Iain used to run bluebooking sessions for me and me alone that were as long as a normal full group session is now. How did we stay on for that long? We must have been insane.
So, I feel like one of the walking dead right now and thus didn't want to do a plot summary today, but I did manage to
update quotes for the first time in several months, seeing as how that's pretty mindless. Hunter, Mage, and also the Buffy quotes complete at last. Here are some highlights:
"...And by 'developing years' we mean 'time before you spent your experience.'"
"And what Path do you follow?"
"Um, we're undeclared Paths. The Watchtower of the Fifth-Year Freshman."
"The ruling Arcana of that Realm are Booze and Laziness."
"What's the inferior Arcanum?"
"Mind."
"Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal financial advisor?"
"We don't need to clean this up. It's the Apocalypse."
"Having a Death Star means never being wrong."
"...And he said, 'Through technology, I will whoop this beaver.'"
