OKAY I DON'T EVEN really these are issues that they have everywhere!! But become more obvious in the setting of Demonverse. They are actually a fairly . . . ish functional couple in camp because of the static nature of things but put them in a more stressed environment and it becomes more obvious what a toxic and shaky relationship they have.

So I guess I will mostly address the reoccurring ~cheating thing~ as that is the most Demonverse specific. FOR THE RECORD she wasn't really mad at Kaname! She wouldn't have been angry at all at Tristan either if he hadn't lied and if Kaname hadn't implied that it had been less than consenting on his end, l-lol.

Yuuki would never ever dump Kaname for cheating on her. FIRST OF ALL because Kaname wants to be with her even knowing that she still had feelings for someone else. And also because he has done way, way worse things and is probably doing them RIGHT NOW IN CANON. Lying, manipulation, and murder are all things that Yuuki knows Kaname has done and that he doesn't regret them. What Kaname did in Demonverse honestly doesn't even compare to what she has already accepted about him. WHAT IT DOES DO is punch Yuuki in her already low self-esteem and question whether he really wants to be with her. She doesn't understand why he likes her and she's never had full faith in their relationship. Having him bite, make out with, and intend to sleep with someone else is just . . . it makes her wonder if she's not enough for him. If he wants something more than she can give. If she was fully updated this might not be as much of an issue but from where she is taken it left Yuuki at a loss with a bonus lingering feeling that she might just be a replacement for someone else. At the end of game 7 Yuuki was updated to learning that he was her ancestor and was really goddamn confused because the way it was done she had no time to process it or really discuss it. HE STILL HASN'T TOLD HER IN CAMP which is a whole other thing and oh god what are all these mixed messages nothing makes sense anymoreee!!! /o\

. . . also I don't know if she will ever find out that Kaname kissed another succubus in the latest game but then she didn't tell him about the thing with Bastien or Tristan sneaking a kiss. We are good at honesty.

SO WHAT'S THIS ABOUT UNDERSTANDING THE BROFRIEND ISSUES? :>

WELL Kazuki and Haruki are technically brothers. Or clones of brothers. Yes. They weren't raised together as brothers, but they're certainly really close childhood friends that they could consider each other as brothers anyway.

Except then there is a bunch of complicated dependency feelings in there that do sway towards the... well, UST side of things. But then there's the fact they are also growing apart and neither of them particularly like it, and Haruki is going kind of INSANE over it.

So it's very unhealthy and incestuous but what can you do!! He gets the same feeling from Yuuki and Kaname with their relationship though.
