More women in [foo]
Well, actually, not really any *more* women.
The male/female ratio at YAPC is pretty high; one of the cleaning ladies expressed her amazement while we were standing there waiting for the elevator. I forget what her first question was (
ravenx99?). It caught me flatfooted... something about why I was there with the menfolk. The second question was "And can you keep up with all those guys?"
I said "yes," though sometimes I think that's not really true, but that's not because I'm female, it's because I'm not so young anymore.
I find the racial distribution more interesting than the gender distribution, myself.
(Also, the fact that
hachi just looked over my shoulder and asked if I needed a permanent account. Heh.)
