Return of the Stupid House
You may recall we looked at a former church that became known as The Stupid House (from my mother's semi-incoherent reaction to it), and I mentioned the idea (among others) that we should buy it, live in the basement and turn the upstairs into an antique/craft store (
ravenx99's mother has wanted to do that as a retirement business, though at present she just sells on eBay). I finally decided it was poorly situated for that (location, location, location) and that it would be way too difficult to make the place ADA-compliant without ruining its character. And then there was the whole utility issue, no matter what we made it into, and so forth.
Someone else is more optimistic.
