It's raining. No sleet, just fairly heavy rain. So the more it gets out of the way before the temp drops below freezing (which I guess it just has), the better. But I'm looking at the car emergency kits I bought everybody for Christmas (space blanket, etc.) and the Yaktrax I got for my mom, and thinking geez, I shoulda given Thanksgiving presents.
Kiddo's gonna be disappointed if they don't cancel school tomorrow, though. But that still looks likely.
National Weather Service insists: "LATE IN THE AFTERNOON AN OCCASIONAL RUMBLE OF THUNDER MAY BE POSSIBLE AND WILL ENHANCE PRECIPITATION RATES." Enhance? As in increase? How? Or just enhance the experience of the precipitation rates? I don't get it.
In other, non-weather-related news, District Court 18 has clerical staff that is very good about handling things by email, so I didn't have to exercise my considerable phobia of telephones to figure out that D's soon-to-be-ex didn't properly file his half, and that we should be able to extend the deadline so he can get it done right without the case getting dismissed first (necessitating another $150 filing fee, which neither of them has). Which has been stressing me out for the last few weeks, since somehow I've become responsible. Note to self: make sure all future court entanglements take place at the county/state and not the city level. Divorce proceedings are vastly more complex than dog licensing, but after taking that into account I much prefer the DC18 experience to the COW experience.
In still other non-weather-non-legal news, my non-medical-professional opinion? Strattera: all the side effects of Sudafed (and then some), none of the benefits. Bah. Done now.
