So, I went to go see Flyleaf in concert the other night. (By now, it was the other other other night...I forgot to post...) Apparently my friend is high school friends with the guitarist's wife. Anywho, we got free tickets to see Flyleaf! It was pretty awesome. I guess their opening band is managed by Randy Jackson, who happened to be there supporting the band, so I got to talk to the man himself! Let me tell you, he is MUCH older looking than he appears on TV. Good lighting and makeup really does take off years.
After the concert, we got to see Flyleaf's tour bus, which was pretty sweet. They are packed in there! I couldn't believe how little room each person had in their bed area. Their beds were bunked and each person had what looked like just over a foot and a half in which to lay. It's still one more tour bus than I ever had though, so it was pretty cool. Also, we found out after the fact, that the guy we talked to as we entering the bus, was actually the drummer from Korn.
After the tour, they took us out for dinner! That was really nice. Very cool people. I got to meet Philip's high school friend, who was super nice. She ended up paying for our bill, which was good, because I was kind of broke... Her husband apparently was very into video games, so we talked about those for a while (surprise, surprise) and he ended up giving me a code to redeem a cheap copy of a pretty cool game called DemiGod. All in all, it was a very nice evening.
