LA The Next

Ok, so we're all moved in now! We just (almost) finished buying furniture, so our house looks like a house! The only things we need to pick up are a refridgerator and a television...Smah Brah Brow withdrawal sucks...

I've met a few of our neighbors, and everyone seems nice so far. I also think we may have some mormons living near us, because we got a few visits the other day. They even remembered me and greeted me by name yesterday when we passed them! There's a pretty good chance I'm the only one who opened the door for them...

We finally have our own parking spot, which is inside a locking gate, so there's a bit of extra safety there, though at this point, everything seems really safe. There are families that live all around us, and the building itself hasn't had any problems. I'm pretty happy with it.

Our landladies tried to overcharge us on rent. Apparently, it hasn't been $1,150 for years, but that's what the advertisement we read said, and that's what we put on our applications, so when they wrote $1,250 on our lease, we had a few choice words. We are now the only tenants paying $1,150 for rent. W00t! That includes utilities, so the only thing we need to pay is Electricity, and we picked up energy saving bulbs at Ikea, so lessen that as well.

We get internet next Thursday at 9, so as of that point, I'll actually be able to update frequently, so I'll remember all the things I want to talk about. I swear, about 10 times a day I think "Oh man! I'm totally gonna write about that" but by the time I get to an internet cafe, it's gone. When my computer comes, these'll be less boring, I promise.

So, for some observations...
Pinkberry is delicious. We need some in CT.
I still haven't asked for an In&Out Burger Animal Style, by my roommate did and said it was delicious.
With the cheap prices of fast food here, it's almost economically cheaper to just do that every night (though we won't)
Still no celebrity sightings, though we've been pretty stuck in our apartment doing moving in stuff.
I love Ikea and Goodwill. They're responsible for 90% of our apartment.
It was about 70 degrees today...everyone had on coats...I'll never get used to that.
