"Water's great, come on in" was Sylar's way of thinking, "The bed's fine, climb on up".

I've had the only good massages I've ever had at chiropractors. Though I don't think much of their ability to fix any actual problems a person has.

That bad emotional cycle you mention, the horrible reality-check - yeah, I think that would cause all manner of problems and it would be really hard for Sylar to adjust to it.

"Oh, God, Peter. Why aren't you married and settled down with someone? Do you have any idea how excellent a catch you are?" -- This is so beautiful. It still stands out to me as a one of the great moments in all your writing. And you've got a lot.Thank you so much! That's wonderful ( ... )

Okay, here, I've needed to turn you onto this for a while now. You mentioned the "Lie To Me" tv show, I'd seen one episode of it and loved it a while back but now I've actively started watching it and...its so freaking amazing. I'd suggest it to you because (its on instant watch on Netflicks, which I know you have, I don't think you mind me saying that) its helped me read and listen to people better and look for micro-expressions (and detect lies) better. So not only will it help you, I'm not sure if that's something...Peter looks at or does "automatically" with empathy, you know? I'm so bummed I can't have Sylar use all this information but I think that flies in the face of canon, what with lie-detection and all. I can spot lies of people I've known for a while/a long time better than I can strangers and that's just fact. But the show is *right* up my alley and it might be up Peter's. (Plus, its well-written, nearly every episode is amazing (Season 1 is a little spotty) and the characters are just charming). I bring it up because ( ... )

I've watched an episode of "Lie to Me" and it looked really good. I agree I need to watch it. I'll try to check it out.

I'd buy that Sylar has a little asthma. It's not like it's an all-or-nothing condition. It might even be undiagnosed.

Sylar ogles him or looks him over lewdly and Peter's just like, 'Yeah, I'm hot. Want some of this, do you?'Hahaha! You're seeing a little of that in MBU, too, where Sylar feels up Peter's head and is ... well, into him, and Peter's not freaking out about it. He's just more like, "How can I discourage this, because it's not mutual ( ... )

Sometimes I think Sylar's just a big girl about sex, seriously. Seriously, Sylar. Him going 'WHOA!' about being grinded-off on. That or a kid who never healed about some things. The lighter-hearted version amuses me, though ( ... )

I do have to ask...why is it Wall-Sylar is paranoid about is neck, from you perspective? I mean...what's his reasonable fears for being in that position?I don't think he is, in general, paranoid about his neck. In canon, Peter grabbed him by the neck without reaction. Angela ran her hands around his collar or along his neck a couple times without reaction. Though I find that latter to be actually suspicious, because I feel a "normal" person would have responded - looked down, moved their head a little, had some eye contact checking in about a person's intentions there. Sylar had no reaction whatsoever - which just screams to me "broken" and "damaged goods". It's where I thought you were going at one point in MBU when Sylar first stroked up Peter's wrist ( ... )

Awww. This was both sexy and sweet.

Looks like maybe Sylar can stop playing sick now though, huh? (But he probably won't stop, since he knows Peter likes helping people so much.)

Thanks!

I see you're reading these as connected scenes and I can see how that seems obvious, but I had in mind they were stand-alones. You'll see the next chapter is entirely unrelated and there will be multiple "first times" recounted in Bricks. I'm not tired of writing those yet - there's just so many angles to it, as you've so aptly shown!

It's true, and first times are fun to write. I'm guilty of it, for sure. I think a lot of us are.

I like this lighthearted, sexy, suspenseful tale! Like Sylar, I was waiting in eager anticipation to see how far Peter would go and pleasantly bowled over by how far he did.

Love the image of Sylar sprawled out on the bed, presenting himself almost, trying to lure Peter to him. I would love to know what was going through Peter's mind.

It had been a startling lesson in manners, one that Sylar had puzzled over for days while his nose stopped bleeding and lost the tenderness inflicted by Peter's fist. So - if he wanted people to like him, then he had to stop making fun of them.

LOL. Love that. At least Sylar is capable of learning.

A grin spread across Sylar's face even though Peter was retreating, leaving the bed entirely. Peter hesitated at the bedside as though waiting for an answer. Face beaming, Sylar turned and told him, "Oh yes!"

Looking frightened and put off by the expression, Peter hared off into a different part of the apartment, but he didn't leave.Ha! That is so great. I can totally see Sylar's expression, with his ( ... )

I love the mental image of ZQ sprawled out on a bed, too. :D Peter's thoughts at that moment were pretty much as Sylar pegged them - concern over being grabbed, pulled onto the bed and wrestled with, teased, threatened with things Peter didn't think he could handle, but oh did he ever want them. And also, Sylar lying like that was such an invitation, like a cat asking for its tummy to be rubbed. Peter is far from unmoved by how scrumptious Sylar is looking there ( ... )
