Painting 1: A
Philosophy: A
Life Drawing: B+
Env. Science: C
GLAD I'm done with environmental science. I'm done with his hippy "The government is out to get us" bullcrap. I found out, if I can't get interested in subject matter, or the teacher I will slack and not do nearly as much work.
Also learned that 2 art classes, and a full schedule(including work) make it really difficult to get assignments done on time....SO
This semester:
Figurative Sculpture
Painting 2
B&W Photography
Logic
Technically thats another art class, but I don't think photo is as out of class work-load heavy. Plus, I'll only be working weekends. I think I'll do great in logic. Math was always a subject that came easy to me even though I found it boring, and now they're mixing math with philosophy, something I'm very interested in...its math with words! I should do excellent.
I hope figurative sculpture is a little more than what I think it is...I imagine a lot of clay, and I kind of want something more than that...maybe a figurative assignment using wood? Idunno....we'll find out.
Painting 2 is suppose to be oils! I have to go buy some...
Photography I should do fine in, I take a rediculous amount of pictures when I do take a picture so coming up with good photography shouldn't be a problem.
with any luck, this should be my last semester at macomb(Thank Bejeezus) and I can go to wayne/SCAD/CCS with any luck.
Art update: I really need to find a source to practice gestures more. Pool tables didn't work, the people move too fast. I need 1-2 minute poses, not 5 second poses. I'm going to try something thats been suggested to me, not something I wanted to do. I need to copy some comic artists styles, get the feel of what they're like. Of course, the objective here is not to copy their style in the end, but to better understand illustration and comic making. I guess I did this a little bit when I made my skeleton of pop-eye...oh did I not post that? indeed I shall!
while I'm at it, here's my favorite man, Dexter Morgan
