I am a seafood lover. I can't think of a sea-dweller that I don't enjoy. Except maybe turtles. But that's a turtles-are-so-cute issue. Oh, and dolphins. But I think you know what I mean. The major seafoods are all good to me.

I've never had a clam cake! It sounds a bit like a hushpuppy with clams maybe?

Many times I get cravings for mussels. I might have to act on that this weekend! Mmmmmmmmussels!

Yes, but with a flour dough, not corn meal. Like doughboys in essence and ball-shaped, more or less. I need to photograph a few today and post them...before eating them!

Whoa.

I think I would eat 2 dozen of them. That looks like just exactly my kind of food.

Seafoody and fried.

You have piqued my curiosity to no end. Here in the Southwest, there isn't much water so there isn't much seafood and I have never seen clamcakes.

The Camps need to order 11½ dozen for the extended family. See how many that comes to.

I've never actually eaten at Aunt Carrie's, but I've had George's on multiple occasions, and I know that their stuff is terrific. However, I've heard many people rave about Aunt Carrie's as well, in which case, at some point, I'll be trying it, because, after all, this is RI, and we thrive on seafood, much like a great portion of New England.

On a separate thought, if Aunt Carrie's is the queen of clam cakes, does that make George's the king of clam cakes, seeing as he's a male??

No, that would make him the usurper of the molluscoid throne!
