Batteries Recharged?

Wow I needed that break. It was really good to see my family again. I haven't been home in a while so I was really starting to miss hanging out with them. It was also good to see some old friends from Jack-town. Unfortunately, I took a spiritual sabbatical (interesting, I have never spelled that word before but its pretty obvious that it comes from the word "sabbath" which refers to taking a day of rest to be with God... ironic in this context). But God is good. He forgives me and takes me back. It was really refreshing today. I went to Westwinds with my dad this morning. I never went there in high school, I only go now because my dad really likes it and I see it as being pretty progressive. It has it's flaws, just like any church, but God's people worship there, and that's awesome. They take care of their flock there. I talked to one of the Pastors there, Dave McDonald, about possibly getting involved with the youth program when I'm home. I really want to be more involved in Jackson. I was involved in community development in high school, but not so much the church. I really want to be able to inpact high schoolers and college age kids in Jackson when I'm around. It'll really change my perspective when I go home and allow me to feel in community whether I'm home or at school.
yeah. Good stuff. So I really enjoyed the encouragement from Philemon from the annonymous individual in the last post. I really appreciated that. If you're reading this, go ahead and give me a shout out, even if I don't know you that well or at all. Feel free to IM me or e-mail me or something if you wanna tell me what God's doing in your life or wanna talk about something in specific or anything. I always have an open ear. ;)
Also, praise God - 6 of my 9 small group guys are thinking about LT this summer, which is super awesome!
