cshl 2009 day 4 - the Banquet
went very well
so first there was cocktail party. several people approached me about my lecture, to ask advice about their research. And i also got a post doc job offer for a year from now.
during dinner, i sat in a table near someone who just finished doing his PhD here and now doing post doc in MIT. he told us many stories about the place, and especially about James Watson, who practically made this place what it is.
So this guy knows him personally. I just talked to someone who knows "Jim" personally!
anyway, i also got a great impression of this place, and well, i may consider this place as a place for postdoc.
by the way, watching people eating lobster is disgusting. blaaah.
I, obviously, chose the steak, as the guy i talked to.
